Recommendation for use / maintenance:
AN ETERNAL COMPANION WITH THE RIGHT CARE. Cast iron vessels are not stainless. They should be properly maintained. The cast iron dish has already been burned in by the factory. After a short rinse with water - it is important to do without the detergent - you can start immediately. Developing a long-lasting patina requires only a few simple steps. Simply rub the pot with oil or grease with a cloth, everywhere (top and bottom)!
Bake for one hour with the underside facing upwards at approx. 180°C. Repeat this procedure several times if necessary.
NATURAL NON-STICK COATING. After a short "settling in period", a kind of non-stick coating is created which also protects the iron from reactions with acidic foods. But: Never clean with a steel sponge and do not use any detergent at all. It is recommended to lubricate the entire surface with a thin layer of edible oil from time to time.
